The cards that sell Triplet Beat

Which hit each customer is after, and how to use it to move the box.

  1. Magikarp AR (080/073) from Triplet Beat SV1a, illustrated by Shinji Kanda

    Top 1

Magikarp AR: the set’s famous card

    AR · 080/073Illustration: Shinji Kanda

It is an AR, not a SAR, but Shinji Kanda’s Magikarp is the most sought-after card in Triplet Beat and one of the best known of the whole Scarlet & Violet era. Every customer recognises Magikarp, player or not, and this illustration is why many ask for the box by name.

Shop tip: as an AR it turns up more often than a SAR, so it also drives single-pack sales. Feature it in the window and on social media: it is the card that makes customers say "one more pack".

  2. Meowscarada ex UR (101/073) from Triplet Beat SV1a, illustrated by 5ban Graphics

    Top 2

Meowscarada ex UR: the gold card for openings

    UR · 101/073Illustration: 5ban Graphics

The gold Meowscarada ex UR, Sprigatito’s final evolution, is the set’s second big card. A gold starter turns any live opening, giveaway or in-store event into something people want to watch until the last pack.

Meowscarada ex also comes as a SAR (96) and an SR (86): customers who picked Sprigatito in the game have three versions to chase.

  3. Dendra SAR (099/073) from Triplet Beat SV1a, illustrated by GIDORA

    Top 3

    Dendra SAR: for Trainer collectors

    SAR · 099/073Illustration: GIDORA

Dendra, a teacher at the Academy in Scarlet and Violet, stars in GIDORA’s SAR, the third most sought-after card in the set. Trainer SARs have their own audience who buy regardless of the starters, giving the box another reason to buy.

Dendra also comes as an SR (92), a second version for customers who do not want to wait for the SAR.

  4. Meowscarada ex SAR (096/073) from Triplet Beat SV1a, illustrated by Kouki SaitouSkeledirge ex SAR (097/073) from Triplet Beat SV1a, illustrated by kantaroQuaquaval ex SAR (098/073) from Triplet Beat SV1a, illustrated by Souichirou Gunjima

The SARs of the three Paldea starters, by Kouki Saitou, kantaro and Souichirou Gunjima, are the core of the box. Every customer has a favourite depending on the starter they chose in the game, and those after all three never skip one.

The other two starters also come as gold URs. With three gold starters in the set, openings have more than one big moment to look forward to.

  6. Sprigatito AR (075/073) from Triplet Beat SV1a, illustrated by Kouki SaitouFuecoco AR (078/073) from Triplet Beat SV1a, illustrated by kantaroQuaxly AR (081/073) from Triplet Beat SV1a, illustrated by Souichirou Gunjima

    AR · 075/073SprigatitoIllustration: Kouki SaitouAR · 078/073FuecocoIllustration: kantaroAR · 081/073QuaxlyIllustration: Souichirou Gunjima

The Paldea starter ARs are by the same artists as their SARs: Sprigatito and Floragato by Kouki Saitou, Fuecoco and Crocalor by kantaro, and Quaxly and Quaxwell by Souichirou Gunjima. Completing a starter’s full line is an achievable goal for single-pack buyers.

Shop tip: if you sell single packs, together with Magikarp they are your best argument for customers coming back.

Triplet Beat FAQ

Where can I buy Triplet Beat booster boxes wholesale?

Don Bananza is a Pokémon card distributor for shops and verified trade customers: we supply the Triplet Beat Japanese booster box with wholesale pricing for approved customers and shipping from Spain across Europe, subject to availability.

Which card sells the Triplet Beat box?

The Magikarp AR (080/073) is the set’s big draw, ahead of the SARs, and the gold Meowscarada ex UR (101/073) is the one that builds excitement at openings. The Dendra SAR (099/073) follows, then the Meowscarada ex (096/073), Skeledirge ex (097/073) and Quaquaval ex (098/073) SARs.

Should I sell Triplet Beat as sealed boxes or single packs?

Both work, and more so than in other sets: the star card is an AR, so single-pack customers have a real chance at Magikarp too. Collectors after the starter SARs and gold URs or the Dendra SAR buy the sealed box.

What is in the Triplet Beat Japanese booster box?

30 packs of 5 cards (150 cards in total). The set has 73 cards and 30 secret rares: 5 SAR, 3 UR, 10 SR and 12 AR.

When was Triplet Beat released?

Triplet Beat is the SV1a expansion of Scarlet & Violet and was released in Japan on 10 March 2023.
