What NatsuComi 2026 is
NatsuComi (ナツコミ) is publisher Shueisha's summer fair in Japanese bookshops, designed to help readers discover manga from all its labels (Jump Comics, Young Jump, Ribon, Margaret...). It has been held since 2003 and in 2026, its 24th edition, it ran from 1 July to 31 August in around 3,400 bookshops.
This year's giveaway was 22 “metakira” cards (metallic and glossy), one for each participating series. The One Piece one is Luffy with a watermelon.
What the card looks like
| NatsuComi 2026 One Piece | |
|---|---|
| Artwork | Luffy in his straw hat with a watermelon, in a summer style |
| Finish | Metallic and glossy (“metakira”), with the author's signature |
| Back | One Piece logo |
| Size | 88 × 63 mm, like a regular card |
| Game | Not a One Piece Card Game card: it is a collectible |
How it was obtained in Japan
The cards were handed out at participating bookshops while stocks lasted. Each shop set its own conditions: some gave it with a manga purchase, others at random and others with a limit per person.
Resale started even before the campaign: lots of 200 cards went for 1.55 million yen. The One Piece card, as the most popular series, is among the most wanted of the 22.
Why stock it in your shop

- It is for One Piece fans, not just players: anyone who collects manga merchandise will want it.
- Oda's artwork. The illustration and the author's signature are the hook.
- Handed out only in Japan and only for two months.
- Small and eye-catching: it looks great in a display case next to TCG promos.
