Why Pillars of Strength sells well in store

  • Sogeking is the set's big draw: the card your customers ask about before they buy.
  • Each SEC comes in several versions (parallels, manga…): more versions, more reasons to open another box.
  • 24 packs per box: it sells just as well as a sealed box, as single packs or in live openings.
  • Japanese edition: a favourite with many collectors for its print quality and price per pack.

The cards that sell Pillars of Strength

Which card each type of customer is after and how to use it to move the box.

  1. Sogeking SEC OP03-122 (Manga (super parallel)), One Piece Card Game Pillars of Strength (OP-03) card

    Top 1

Sogeking manga SEC: the masked hero of Enies Lobby

    SEC · OP03-122Manga (super parallel)

The manga version of the SEC of Sogeking, Usopp's masked alter ego, is the most wanted card in OP-03. It combines manga rarity with one of the best-loved moments in the series, and collectors regard it as one of the great manga cards of the early sets.

Tip for your shop: it is the card to promote the box with. If you stream live openings, present it as the big target; Usopp fans have their signature card here.

  2. Monkey.D.Luffy SP ST01-012 (WANTED poster), One Piece Card Game Pillars of Strength (OP-03) card

    Top 2

Monkey.D.Luffy WANTED-frame SP: the bounty poster

    SP · ST01-012WANTED poster

The Luffy SP framed as a WANTED poster is the second most wanted card in the set. It is the design any One Piece fan recognises at a glance: the main character's bounty poster turned into a card.

Tip for your shop: it works very well in your window and on social media, even with people who do not play. It is the card that best explains the set to a new customer.

  3. Nami L OP03-040 (Brush art), One Piece Card Game Pillars of Strength (OP-03) card

    Top 3

    Nami brush-art parallel leader

    L · OP03-040Brush art

Nami's brush-art leader completes the top three. These leaders, drawn in a brush style quite unlike the usual art, are one of the hallmarks of OP-03, and Nami has a very steady following.

  4. Donquixote Doflamingo SP ST03-009 (WANTED poster), One Piece Card Game Pillars of Strength (OP-03) cardKaido SP ST04-003 (WANTED poster), One Piece Card Game Pillars of Strength (OP-03) cardEustass"Captain"Kid SP OP01-051 (WANTED poster), One Piece Card Game Pillars of Strength (OP-03) card

Doflamingo, Kaido and Kid WANTED SPs: the poster collection

    SP · ST03-009Donquixote Doflamingo · WANTED posterSP · ST04-003Kaido · WANTED posterSP · OP01-051Eustass"Captain"Kid · WANTED poster

Luffy is not the only one with a poster: Doflamingo, Kaido and Eustass Kid also have WANTED-frame SPs in OP-03. Collectors who want every poster complete the series pack by pack, which is a strong argument for selling single packs.

  5. Portgas.D.Ace L OP03-001 (Brush art), One Piece Card Game Pillars of Strength (OP-03) card

    Top 5

    Portgas.D.Ace brush-art leader

    L · OP03-001Brush art

Ace also has his own brush-art leader. For Ace fans it is the card of the set, and together with Nami it makes up the most sought-after pair of brush-art leaders.
