Why Paramount War sells well in store

  • Portgas.D.Ace is the set's big draw: the card your customers ask about before they buy.
  • Each SEC comes in several versions (parallels, manga…): more versions, more reasons to open another box.
  • 24 packs per box: it sells just as well as a sealed box, as single packs or in live openings.
  • Japanese edition: a favourite with many collectors for its print quality and price per pack.

The cards that sell Paramount War

Which card each type of customer is after and how to use it to move the box.

  1. Portgas.D.Ace SR OP02-013 (Manga (super parallel)), One Piece Card Game Paramount War (OP-02) card

    Top 1

Portgas.D.Ace manga SR: the big hit of the set

    SR · OP02-013Manga (super parallel)

Ace's SR in its manga version, with black-and-white panels, is the card that sells OP-02: nothing else in the set comes close. It is Ace in the Marineford set, the arc that made him one of the best-loved characters in the series.

Tip for your shop: it is the card to promote the box with. Because it is an SR rather than an SEC, explain it clearly during live openings: it is the card everyone is waiting to see.

  2. Sanji L OP02-026 (Alternate art), One Piece Card Game Paramount War (OP-02) card

    Top 2

Sanji parallel leader: for Sanji fans

    L · OP02-026Alternate art

Sanji's parallel leader is the second most wanted card in the set. Sanji has one of the most loyal followings in the crew, and his leader appeals both to collectors and to players who want the best version.

Tip for your shop: leaders turn up more often than the Ace manga, so they are the realistic target for customers buying single packs.

  3. Edward.Newgate L OP02-001 (Alternate art), One Piece Card Game Paramount War (OP-02) card

    Top 3

Edward.Newgate parallel leader: Whitebeard at Marineford

    L · OP02-001Alternate art

Whitebeard's parallel leader completes the top three. Alongside Ace he is the central figure of the Marineford war, and fans of the Whitebeard Pirates have their card of the set in him.

  4. Portgas.D.Ace SR OP02-013 (Alternate art), One Piece Card Game Paramount War (OP-02) card

    Top 4

Portgas.D.Ace parallel SR: the other Ace

    SR · OP02-013Alternate art

Ace's SR also has a parallel version, easier to find than the manga. For Ace fans it is the realistic target of the box, so tell the two apart clearly when you show them.

  5. Smoker L OP02-093 (Parallel 1), One Piece Card Game Paramount War (OP-02) cardNami SR OP02-036 (Parallel 1), One Piece Card Game Paramount War (OP-02) card

Smoker parallel leader and Nami parallel SR

    L · OP02-093Smoker · Parallel 1SR · OP02-036Nami · Parallel 1

The Smoker parallel leader and the Nami parallel SR round off the standout cards. They give single-pack customers more reasons to keep opening after the box.

Paramount War FAQ

Where can I buy OP-02 Paramount War booster boxes wholesale?

Don Bananza is a One Piece card distributor for shops and verified trade customers: we supply the OP-02 Paramount War Japanese booster box at wholesale prices for approved customers, shipping from Spain across Europe, subject to availability.

Which card sells the OP-02 Paramount War box?

The Portgas.D.Ace manga SR (OP02-013) is the big card of the set, far ahead of the rest. It is followed by the parallel leaders of Sanji (OP02-026) and Edward.Newgate, Whitebeard (OP02-001), and behind them come the Ace parallel SR, the Smoker parallel leader and the Nami parallel SR.

Why does OP-02 depend so much on a single card?

Because the Ace manga SR is by far the most wanted card in the set: Ace at Marineford is a combination collectors do not pass up. The other standout cards, such as the parallel leaders, keep single-pack customers interested, but it is Ace that sells the box.

Should I sell OP-02 by the box or as single packs?

Both work. Sealed boxes appeal to collectors going for the Ace manga or who want to keep one of the first sets of the game sealed; single packs suit fans happy with a parallel leader. A live opening with the Ace manga as the target is very engaging.

When was OP-02 Paramount War released?

OP-02 Paramount War (頂上決戦) was released in Japan on 4 November 2022 and is the second set in One Piece Card Game. Each booster box contains 24 packs of 6 cards (144 cards in total).
